REFERENCE ROOM / EDITORIAL POLICY
How cultural entries are checked
Editors distinguish a documented historical claim from a community recollection. Event details need an organizer's publication, while legal context needs the original government text.
Breed labels require careful attribution because local usage can differ. Images should show neutral birds and habitat instead of confrontation or injury.
An entry remains unpublished until evidence and editorial review are complete. The reference room will not fill gaps with an invented participant story.
